Almost time for some new Amiibo collectible figures to arrive. This gold Mario Amiibo looks cute. I wouldn't mind having one of those.

I also still want a Peach amiibo. I happened to be looking around on a Walmart site online and saw that there may be two Peach Amiibo's available. One of them shows a little of her legs and shoes. Looks so cute!

More Amibios may be on the way:

Last time I was at our local Walmart I stopped to see what they had in the Amiibo line of toys and they had Princess Peach (which I wanted but did not get as I really want the other version more), and they had Mario (regular, not gold), and a Zelda (which was very pretty so now I want her also, and a few others.

Has anyone else gotten any of these collectable toys yet?

The only one I want is Ness. And he is probably one of the most difficult to get, considering he was Gamestop exclusive (why, Nintendo?) and preorders sold fast. Now that he's been released, I hope more will trickle in and maybe to other stores, and that I get lucky.

I really don't see a reason Nintendo is handling the amiibos so poorly considering the demand. It seems like awful business and artificial scarcity here and they're feeding people who buy a ton, mark them waaaaay up and resell on eBay or Amazon. I see no reason they can't release them in higher quantity so everyone who wants one can get them without a hassle and spending a small fortune.

Edit: I'm already seeing Ness amiibos being flipped on Amazon and eBay for around $50.

Well, we've already posted above about the rare Metroid Samus and the rare Peach with no legs, and now here's an article with a bunch of "rare" amiibios:

Whoever wrote this hasn't exactly been paying attention to recent developments. This month alone, Nintendo did pretty decent reprints and restocks of Ness, Pit and Dedede (that's how I got Ness - I heard about the reprint/restock) and possibly some others, but those three I'm aware of for sure. Now, it doesn't seem to have been enough to completely solve the supply woes, but what it does show is that Nintendo has truly acknowledged the issue and is taking steps to fix it and deflate the reseller bubble. I think that given time, most of these amiibos won't be staying so rare as Nintendo reprints them (save the ones with major manufacturing defects) so I hope consumers try to stay patient about the ones they want that are hard to get.

I know I am glad I did, but to be fair, it certainly wasn't easy.

Nope, no interest in the Palutena amiibo. I'm not trying to collect them generally, only character I actually want, so leaving her for the people who actually want her. I personally don't care for her in smash, either.

I also think the most recent Kid Icarus game has no reason to exist. I watched videos online and the dialog alone made me say within minutes "nope, not for me."

I noticed when I was in town over the weekend that our local Walmart has several of these amiibo toys in stock now. I saw both versions of Princess Peach, Mario, Link, Zelda, and a few others. I don't think any of these are rare. Probably the more common ones that are going to be found everywhere. I still only have one version of Peach, but not worried on being able to get the other version someday as it will probably be available whenever. Atleast I hope. Haven't heard about any rare amiibos lately. Anyone else heard of any?

Nintendo has finally started to address at least some of the supply issues. There are still amiibos that are not easy to find - Ness, Pit, Dedede, Dark Pit (granted, the Best Buy in Watertown had a decent stock of him last time I was there). The GameStops here have gotten a considerable resupply of several harder-to-find figures, like Ike, Greninja, Little Mac and Shulk (not Ness, of course...) So to Nintendo's credit, they're fixing the situation slowly. I hope it deflates the reseller market.

Nintendo has a new game coming out which will be playable with the amibo toys. Look for Mini Mario & Friends: Amibo Challenge around April 28:
