Not an official holiday, but a day in the US to celebrate the signing by the founding fathers of the Constitution document on September 17, 1787.

Ha, I took the Founding Father quiz and it says I am most like .... James Madison from Virginia. It says he was diligent, scholarly, and shy. Well, some of that sounds right, especially the shy part, lol. I'll have to do some investigating and find out more about him. :wink:

Now this is one that really seems like it should be a national holiday for the United States. After all, the Constitution is a hugely important part of American history and culture. I suppose that if it is not an official holiday after 222 years, it never will be one.

I tried the Founding Fathers quiz, it gave me George Mason. I've never heard of him before, but it says he refused the sign the Constitution because it lacked the Bill of Rights. I'm not sure if that's good or bad...

And, I agree with Thoul's remarks from above that it seems this day should be an official holiday since it is celebrating such an important event.
