I bought this a few days ago. Sometimes it's good to relive the classics  !

Duke Nukem 3D:Megaton Edition. Having a blast with it. One of the expansion packs it has is "Duke It Out In D.C.", which I've wanted to play for almost 18 years now.

JoJo's Bizzarre Adventure: All Star Battle for PS3 and Tecmo's Kagero Deception IV for PS3 is what I have been wasting my time on lately. both are great series in their own unrelated right.

Phoenix Wright Trilogy on 3DS ! For me, the best video game serie (with Phantasy Star ! ;) ).
I've already finished all the episodes launched in Europe but : if the first two épisodes were both with the English texts AND the french translation 5and I(ve finished both of them in the two "ways" ! ;) ) the third one, Trials and Tribulations, was only in french...and german ! :( What a disappointment ! :(
And in this Trilogy : if all the french translations are out (but I have it in the original DS épisodes), the three are in japanese (hard to play but fun to have !) and in English ! So now I can do the third one in English ! I love this serie so much :)

I played the original version of that last year when it went up cheap on PSN. It was fun, for sure, but didn't hold my attention much after I beat the final boss. That said, though, it was quite fun while it lasted, and it had a good sense of humor. If you haven't played it before, you'll probably have a pretty good time with it.

Congrats! Why are these so hard to get? I know some people buy a lot of them to cause shortage and then sell them at higher prices (and I see this people as "evil", LOL, abusing of something not done for them and damaging others who are the real target; yes, evil even if they see themselves as just trying to get a little profit or something to live).

I have heard it happen with Nintendo's toys, but I have not found this to happen with Disney's. I have been able to find Infinity's all the time. Is this because less people want Disney's? Or because Nintendo is producing less? Or just bad luck? Or is it because I am in Mexico, and perhaps we do get lots of Ness figures here because the speculators would not have so much success here?

Well, whatever it is, it is great that you got your desired Amiibo.

As for me, my latest buy were a few PSN "PSOne Classics" games I wanted. I already had Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX, but now I got Final Fantasy V and VI, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (which is the game I am currently playing, and I am loving it, surprised that it actually manages to be a very different story and general experience than Persona 2: Innocent Sin).

I also bought some Dissidia Duodecim's DLCs: music from I, II, III and IX, and the dancer Butz, Zidane-as-Marcus and (free DLC) no-helmet Warrior of Light. I got to love dancer Butz.

But I hate the fact they pulled Scott Pilgrim's game from the PSN... I wanted to play that, and I know my boyfriend would have loved it (he really liked SP now that he has started reading the books).

I honestly don't know for sure, Ice. The funny thing is, at the Gamestop where I snagged this today, one of the walls at the front was covered in tons and tons of Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures. Plenty of quantity and wide variety of characters. I imagine most people looking for a Skylander or Infinity figure could find whoever they were looking for. The amiibos were relegated to one side of a three-sided rotating stand at the back (except Ness - they had him behind the counter). The amiibo stand had 4 Links, 4 Marios, and an assortment of a few others in quantities of 1-2. It seems Nintendo has convinced itself that in its US market, no one cares about anything except Mario and Zelda. So they flood stores with Mario and Zelda characters at the expense of all others, even though people want the non-Mario/Zelda characters. Unfortunately, as the demand is there and they're rare, the other figures like Ness become attractive targets to people who buy them for the sole purpose of marking them way up for resale. In the US, I think Ness is the rarest of the wave 4 figures and one of the rarest generally. I have no idea if the restock today is a reprint or what, but I hope it is a sign, one way or the other, that Nintendo is getting their act together on this and will correct their US market, so people can buy the amiibos that they want without having to pay several times retail price or go through as much trouble as has been the precedent to get them (waiting in line for a long time, odd pre-order schedules, server crashes when pre-ordering, canceled orders, no stock, etc.)

As far as I can tell, it was Nintendo's risk-aversive nature that caused the amiibo supply woes in the US. As I understand it, they didn't know how popular these things would be, and produced far fewer than was actually needed to meet the demand, except for the aforementioned Mario and Zelda crew. Now, I get not taking a risky move, but c'mon...they could've looked at the precedent of Infinity and Skylanders and figured they would be pretty popular. I would think Nintendo has some kind of market research division...did they not consult those folks before launching amiibos? The first Skylanders also had a bit of a rocky launch with some characters being hard to find at first, but Activision seems to have since figured out how to keep supply matching demand and maintain market balance. And you can excuse Activision for those woes, as at that time, the figures-with-games thing was actually new - they were really doing something new, and risky, and as a result, you can excuse their mistakes. As for Disney Infinity, I imagine they looked at how Activision handled Skylanders and took a page from their book. As much I love Nintendo, their habit of living in their own little world bothers me and can really hurt them sometimes.

I'm just glad I got him. I got stupidly lucky today and I wrote the whole story in another thread. In general, I don't care much about amiibo, but as an Earthbound fan and Ness main in Smash, I had to get Ness. There a couple others I may get, but not nearly as "MUST HAVE" as for Ness.

Also, nice PSN haul there. I love the classics that they make available. I got the whole Spyro trilogy from PSN a while ago, even though I have all three games physically and the discs still work great. Did not know the SP game had been pulled, though. That's too bad, especially for your boyfriend. :(

Well, yesterday, my boyfriend and I went out to a bay park north of the airport to get some outdoor time and fresh air. It's a lovely place to walk located on a tiny pininsula on the north side of Boston Harbor on the bay side, so you get ocean without as much cool seabreeze. Plus it's a different ecosystem/wildlife watching area, and it's right near the airport so you can watch planes land/take off. It's also near our retro game shop in Winthrop. I had something I wanted to trade, and I used that store credit to get the only other amiibo that's currently out that I wanted.

I've had a long-time soft spot for Donkey Kong for some reason. As an amiibo, compared to Ness, he is nowhere near as rare or expensive, the recent Ness reprint/restock notwithstanding. I do play him second most in Smash...I'm not as good with him as I am with Ness, but I just find him really fun to play and he's my favorite of the heavy guys.

And here's both of them unboxed.
