Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

I, personally, am not interested. I think these would be mostly used in "party" games, like Mario Party, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. I get bored pretty quickly with those, because I have absolutely no interest in playing with others to see who wins what race or mini-game.

But...

I think this is a good move. Yes, it is copying Skylanders, just like Disney Infinity did, but I think Nintendo and Disney will now have an advantage. Their characters are more widely recognized than Spyro's, and a lot of people will want to have them (some as collectibles, even, not for the game).

My boyfriend likes Disney, and I have seen a lot of money go away into almost completing Disney Infinity 1.0 (just like three figures again, not counting the discs he is still missing). Once someone starts getting one figure, they will likely want another one, and another.

Also, this is mostly targeting kids. They will have more sales in seasons like Christmas, definitely, but kids will be asking for this.

If we say we do not like them (and if we assume we will keep that attitude and not jump into collecting them later), Nintendo will not care, since these were never meant primarily for us. Although a lot of adults will be buying them (just see all the YouTube videos for Infinity).

One thing I do like is the fact that these figures would be usable for more than one game. That extends their life and usefulness quite a bit. With Spyro's and Disney's, if you do not like the game they are tied to, then you have no use for them. With Nintendo's, you have more options.

All in all, a good idea by Nintendo. If catching virtual monsters that did not exist outside of their electronic bits in a game cartridge worked when they released Pokémon, people will definitely do it again now that they can collect something more substantial.

That's true. I have no interest in them, but I think most people with a soul at least think action figures of Samus and Pit and Zelda are pretty nifty, and they're gonna sell bazillions of them, more than likely. Oh wait...I just saw that they have one of Captain Falcon coming up. I might have to get that one, ha ha.

If there's a Ness one I may get that just because I'm an Earthbound fangirl, but that's about it. Overall, I still find the idea rather pointless and a copy of Skylanders, and I may just enjoy the games without them. Nifty, sure, but not interested.

I just need to get a Bowser plushie. That's really all I need. I'm not worried about the game play interactivity, that's just silly, but plushies are serious business.

They have 'em at a store located locally here, actually. We were just there today and there were plenty in stock. PM me if you're interested.

Check Amazon too, and maybe even any local comic shops in your area. I'm actually surprised how many Bowser plushies I see around, though I'm not so sure how well Bowser translate into a plushie...

I have seen a lot of his plushies, too. And his is the one I would like, from all of the Mario characters.

But the problem is that there are plushies in all sizes, and I would always want the biggest one (in his case, since size would matter with him). So it ends up being too expensive, and one of the smaller ones just would not do.

Yeah, that's been my hangup with Bowser plushies, too. They're just too expensive. I guess I'm just hoping I get one eventually as a Christmas gift or something, ha ha.

That's a pretty good profit since the regular toys usually sell for around $13. If you see any of these collectible toys anywhere you may want to give them a second look to notice if there is anything different or unusual about them.

Now there's a story about a Princess toy found where she has no legs also being sold on ebay. Seems this Princess toy was found at the same store where the rare Metroid Samsus toy was found also. Coincidence, or not???
