I enjoy Monster Hunter (Not Monster Hunt SS. But I forgive you. ;)), and it's cool as it is that you can dress up as Link and have related gear. But I think it's going to be one of those things that won't be a great find in the game. It'll be one of those things that you show off to your friends but won't really use.

I'm kind of with S4. Not totally sure what the point is here. I don't think this is going to draw Zelda fans to Monster Hunter. Seems like a gimmick more than anything else, at least to me.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

I don't mean to discredit Nintendo or anything, but this kind of thing has been done in so many games now. Companies put their games on Nintendo's systems, and they feel they have to add the "Mario" or 'Zelda" touch and then they put their costumes or characters in the games. They did it with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and it felt out of place, and it looks like it will feel out of place for this too.

Nintendo needs to stop trying to cram their age old franchises down our throats every chance they get. Hyrule Warriors comes out in September, give it a rest Nintendo. It's the first Zelda game I'm interested in since Twilight Princess, don't ruin it for me please.

I don't think Nintendo is really worried about this kind of stuff, it seems more like a mutually beneficial thing done between companies. I think Capcom is in need of a lot more help at the moment than Nintendo, I mean, with Mario Kart out now and Smash coming soon Nintendo doesn't need any help with their "ancient" franchises. They're old, yes, and Nintendo could probably afford to throw out a few new IPs or two (though it's worth noting they are doing this to a small extent with stuff like Splatoon), but I predict that Nintendo's characters and franchises are going to be around a lot longer and stay more relevant both historically and in coming gaming generations than whatever first-person shooter, MMO, or other fad ever will. I'd rather have Link in my game than Master Chief or Sack Boy or whatever any day.

I checked Hyrule Warriors out. It took me two weeks and lots of scotch to forget it. I have rarely been so underwhelmed and turned down by a game.

Legend of Zelda + crazy medieval china games where the superhero decimates 390857 pawns with one sword swipe = no.

I don't know. I think it looks kind of fun. New trailer:

I doubt I will pick it up when it first comes out, but I would like to play it someday.
