Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark

The third game in the current franchise with the previous releases of War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.

After playing it till Chapter 4 a few things stand out.

Game play is very close to the first two games. Voice acting uses much of the game cast from previous games. Ammo and Energon seem to be decent enough to find.

Much like the previous games even being on "easy" is not a walk in the park. Some stages so far require some major timing to get the drop on the targets otherwise you get swarmed. I've had to restart from the checkpoint many times because I got wiped out.

First impression is the game is pretty good. But it does not follow the movie even though it seems use characters from the movie.

So, how is the gameplay in this series? It's always interested me - it's Transformers - but I've never looked into enough to tell if I would like it or not. It's a third person shooter mostly, right?

Third person shooter with a decent selection of weapons. Also a good selection of playable characters. Transform on the fly. Which comes in handy when your low on ammo.

War For Cybertron each level allowed you to select one of three characters to use. The other two games allow you access to the one for that level. The levels themselves are pretty good.

While Rise of the Dark Spark is a great game. It is not the strongest one of the three. It seems this game was rushed into production. Also feels really short to me. But then again I'm use to Skyrim which takes a long time to finish.
