Fair enough. I'm willing to admit I played it more for the characters, story, and concept FAR more than I did for the gameplay.

Plus, once I got far enough to see places I'm highly familiar with in a post-apocalyptic/pandemic state, I was hooked, in a weird way. I live in the Boston area, so upon reaching the MBTA system turned into one big clicker den, it officially became the first game I've ever played that made me want to play it while simultaneously fearing doing so.

I completely missed it, but it wasn't for lack of interest. Thanks to Game Informer I watched the broadcast of the Microsoft conference and while not every game excited me; a few did.

Especially Dragon Age: Inquisition.

I hope I'll get to watching the Sony & Nintendo conferences soon.

This sums up E3 2014 for me.

Also agreeing here. Though Other M wasn't bad at all. The story was really neat, I just wish they hired someone else than a tone-deaf, half-asleep robot-girl to voice Samus.

Been giving the Sony conference a watch, and I am liking some of the selections.

I had already been anticipating The Order: 1886, and what they showed looked pretty good.

Far Cry 4 also looked fun, but I'll give that a wait-and-see.

ABZU, from the maker of Journey, looked AMAZING! After that they showed "No Man's Sky" and I am not sure how to describe it, but it looked VERY interesting.

Mortal Kombat X...not fighter fan, but always liked the series. Definitely will check this one out.

Metal Gear Solid V looked nice, though as I have never played any MGS game, not sure if I will go for this. Batman: Arkham Knight, on the other hand...WOW!

And lastly, they closed with a trailer for Uncharted 4, which I screamed with much goody over. ^_^

One thing I forgot to mention from the Microsoft conference was the showing of The Witcher 3...easily a game I am looking forward too. Witcher 2 was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had.

Next up, Nintendo...not tonight. XD

I have mixed feelings on Nintendo. On one hand, yeah, they definitely showed some interesting, neat things. On the other hand, still can't quite get rid of the my usual thoughts that they're using the same franchises/characters/plotlines, etc. Plus, I'm still not sure how I feel about the figurines without thinking they're just riding on the coattails of Skylanders. It was cool and innovative when Skylanders did it, and there's even an in-universe explanation for it, but it feels like a gimmicky rip-off now with so many others jumping on that bandwagon.

That said, I think some of the things they showed have at least some potential to start turning around some of the difficulties they are having with the WiiU.

I get what you're saying, and I can agree to an extent. I do wish we could get something that at least feels a bit fresh from Nintendo, but as long as it is fun, it's hard to complain.

I'm kinda shocked how many stellar reviews MK8 is getting, so it is what it is. I'm really intrigued by the new Zelda; so I hope there is something new to it.
