Good to see them reverse things in light of feedback. Much better.

Still no plans to get an XBox one, though.

I guess I'm not totally surprised by the price, considering my family already uses our current Xbox 360 for so much more than just gaming. But holy smokes, $500 is a lot, not to mention we'll still have to pay for our Live accounts (which is like, $100 a year or something like that).

From what I understand, the lack of backward compatibility is to be expected; this next leap in console technology just can't do both. I forget the reasons why, but the information about it is out there. That doesn't make it any less disappointing, but I'm sure if Microsoft could have made backward compatibility an option, they certainly would have. I'm bummed, because I want to import games from continuing series into the latest releases, and that's going to be a problem now. I'm pretty sure Sony has this issue between its PS3 and PS4 consoles as well. Kind of makes PC gaming look more and more appealing, doesn't it?

I think we'll eventually get an Xbox One, but not soon. I like Xbox Live about a million times more than the clunky Playstation Network, so if I had to choose between a PS4 and an Xbox One, Microsoft wins.

Something new...it seems the Xbox One will support 8 controllers in a game:

Wow, that's a lot of controllers. Do you think this is a necessary feature? Is it a feature you think you might use at some point and time?

Well, given that the XBox is big on multiplayer games like Halo, being able to have 8 players on one console is impressive, to say the least. And I think it's a beneficial thing for people who get an XBox for those kinds of games.

LOL, I don't even have 8 friends.

Another new feature (Xbox Music) will be available on the new Xbox One as well as a few other places:

For me, like I've said before.. no plan to have an XBOX one sooner or later (and the same about Playstation 4) : I'm not really fond of non handheld console anymore.
And the games, for the moment, aren't great too : like the WII U, it will be necessary to have more great games :)

Xbox One interests me, but it's far off in the distance for me. I still have way too many games to play.
