As much as I want to Hahn Mahlay for classical, I think something like Mumford & Sons or even Manchester Orchestra. He just seems like that type of character to me.



As for Chaz Ashley, honestly... He seems like the type of character to me who would jump on the bandwagon for whatever is currently popular.

You think so? I always thought they'd listen to 80's music.

Rune would definitely be into Queen. And likely classical, but perhaps a modern classical or at least instrumental like Yann Tiersen. Lutz would be classical, though.
Zio, I know some would say Gothic, but he doesnt strike me as the type to wear blak fingernail polish and eye-liner. Possible Black Metal like in Sweden/Norway, with the classical elements added in. Or perhaps Avant-Garde like Alain Bashung, or David Bowie's darker Berlin Trilogy Low album, or the obvious album properly titled, Heathen. Or Malice Mizer.
Rika would listen to whatever teenagers listen to. Chaz would be into hip-hop, from his days on the streets. Alys would def be Alanis Morisette. Wren and Demi would be Techno, as I can imagine a Rave or two on Zelan. Lyle strikes me as a David Bowie fan also. Rolf the self-sacrificing hero would be into Creed. Rudo would be into Rammstein, same with Odin. Amy would be JPop. Gryz would like Stone Temple Pilots. Kain would def like Metalllica and other metal. Hahn would like country, he is the son of a blacksmith after all. Alis would like Annie Lennox. Lassic would be into Mozart or another powerful, sweeping (c)Lassical composer. Raja strikes me as a Polka fan.

I would think Kyra, of those two. Raja definitely listens to Polka, but also to Klezmer and the Village People.

They very thought of Raja listening to polka conjures up incredibly hilarious images in my head. And yet, it makes so much sense.

Raja listening to Polka ? What a laugh it'll be ! That could been so great ! (and Village people too !)

And about characters listening to video game music, hard to tell..(Phantasy Star's OSTs ? ) Maybe Shess/Kyra of those two, like Bragatyr was saying ! She is one of the youngest (but I'm not telling that only Young people are listening to VG music ! The proof : I'm not so Young and I listen ! ^^) and I thaink that she could enjoy it

That's because game music is awesome. Music does not care about age boundaries and I scoff at people who sometimes tell me I'll grow out of heavy metal and it's ridiculous I listen to it in my 20s. If you say that, you've clearly not actually listened to and understood metal. My dad, who is retired, listens to it. And that transcendence of supposed age boundaries applies to basically any music genre as far as I'm concerned.

But back on topic, as for who'd actually listen to a game soundtrack…well, I think it depends. First off, what game soundtrack? They are all different! So I think different characters would listen to different soundtracks. Now, I think we can say they'd all go for the soundtracks of their respective games. But going further, I'll take the Spyro soundtrack (famously composed by Stewart Copeland, former drummer for the Police) and say that I can see Hahn listening to it for some reason. But in contrast, the Ratchet & Clank soundtrack seems like the androids might like it.

WOLF IRDE : you misunderstand what I was trying to tell here ! My sentence was just to tell like you said it (far better than me but that is logical : English isn't my mother tongue ! ^^) : all ty pe of music isn't for a certain age category and I agree totally with that !
And everyone have the right to listen to every music he likes (and luckily !! )
And actually I listen to metal and I think I've understand it but maybe not as far as you I know a lot of people who are listining to that type of music and are of various ages too !

RPG soundtracks for Shess as most of RPG's soundtracks are so great ! I'll go with STAR OCEAN 3 because this OST is one of the greatest ever composed ! By master SAKURABA Motoi ! (and there is also a STAR in the name of the game so... )
