A just for fun thread. What music do you think the Phantasy Star characters would listen to? I have a few opinions on that. ;)

Wren is obvious to me. Sure, he's an android, but I would think he could be a secret metalhead, mostly because of the band Symphony X and songs like this one:

And they have a few others along similar thematic lines.

I have others, but I'll just share this for now. What do you think?

I could see Kain being into metal. Or possibly country, if you want to go with the southerner role that some people use for him.

I imagine most Espers would prefer classical music. Maybe not Rune, just to go along with his usual way of breaking the mold.

Rune would probably listen to some kind of avant-garde, new age World music in a language that no one understands. So, he would likely listen to Magma.

Kain's mPod playlist begins with One Piece at a Time. I refuse to believe anything else.

lol, that was a fun song, R-90-2! That would truly have been the only car of it's kind. :)

I read somewhere that there was some tie in or something between Rudo and Elvis Presley, although I can't remember what it was, so maybe Rudo might listen to some Elvis music.

I could definitely see Rudo listening to Elvis. I think Kain may have been into really intense electronic music, with like Alanis Morissette as his secret guilty pleasure.

I always like to pretend that deep down, especially after the defeat of the Profound Darkness and nature is back to its normal not-dying self, Demi yearns to just go her own way and be free. Therefore

is her outlet to express such feelings.

WARNING: Listening to Gojira may result in a sudden and irresistible desire to headbang and a feeling of being crushed by awesome.

Radiohead's "Lucky" always reminded me of PSII, Rolf in particular. Maybe he gets home from work, lies down for a bit and this track comes up, and he has an angsty post-teenage moment (hey, he's not that old!) where he's all, "Oh man, this music speaks to me! It's like Thom Yorke KNOWS MY LIFE." Or something like that.

Chorus:
Pull me out of the aircrash
Pull me out of the wake
I'm your superhero
We are standing on the edge
