I'm afraid, I'm very afraid. Not so much on the Activision front as so on the Nickolodeon part... We need games based on the original comics, gritty, kinda dark, and plenty of action. The old NES titles, especially games III and IV, oh man four was awesome, really were some of the closest to fitting that bill to date.

I've pretty much given up on Ninja Turtles games now. The last several I tried were rather poor, in my opinion. They felt like titles aimed squarely at children, purely as a merchandising gimmick for a show or movie. That's fine for what it is, but I don't think there is any hope for a game with a more serious tone. Especially from a publisher like Activision, who I don't expect to treat the license as an opportunity for anything other than a quick job to cash in on the TMNT brand name.

The new Nickelodeon show is decent. It's sort of between the 2003 show and the original cartoon in tone and works well for a family show. It's mostly lighthearted, but there's depth to it at times as well. I'll be surprised if any games based on it approach the same level of quality.

Nickelodeon ? For me, not a very good name to hear but why not ? If the animated serie of TMNT was a great desilusion (the first one) the games were not too bad in general so...let's see and check it later !
