"The first humanoid Cyborg." "What shall we call her?" "How about.. Nara?"

Chapter Seven

My name is Alexander Helien, I am a scientist in the study of Bio-Monsters and Bio-Mechanics. I am making this video as a record of my discoveries in this course. Discovering records of a civilization long before us I have begun to create a humanoid cyborg. As a cyborg she will be limited to certain things, but if my research is a success I can make her able to feel, smell, taste, grow, and possibly even love. A group of fellow scientists from Nolt have joined me in this task, we hope we can succeed.

It has been three months since we began working on this project. We have constructed the body using a laconium found in the mountain far north. Grafting the skin was more complicated than we had expected. If we are to make her grow from childhood to adulthood the material would have to be very flexible, yet sensitive. Unlike Bio-Engineering where one would combine DNA from a Parmian and a Bio-Monster as shown in our records we had to be sure not to make any mistakes.

One year ago we began on Project Humanoid, we have finally managed to install the personality chip we created into her, making her able to adapt as a human would. I have decided to name her Nara, after my deceased daughter. She should be waking soon, I cannot wait to see the expression on her face when she opens her eyes. I shall continue to record special events in her life as a tribute to her new found life. Hopfully she shall grow one day and eventually call me.. Father.

It may be unusual for one to celebrate such things but eight years ago today Nara was born. Her body as grown from a infant into a beautiful child. She reminds me so much of my own daughter. All I can do is continue to keep her safe and protect her like any father would. Many of my colleagues have left and returned to their families, leaving me and Nara here to live alone in the plant. Whatever may come I shall do my duties, not as a scientist anymore, but as a father.

I don't know how much longer I can take this. The Bio-Monsters have already infiltrated the plant, destroying much of my research. I have locked Nara in a special container that shall keep her alive and continue her growth. It was my original desire to create the first cyborg that could feel and love.. But deep down, all I really wanted was to have my daughter back. I know in the last fifteen years I have done my very best, but as I sit here waiting death. I have no regrets, I love my daughter, and I shall always watch over her.

"Project Nara." I read from the tube. A loud buzzing noise could be heard coming from behind us. "Alys! Look out!" Ray yelled as he pushed me to the side. A large stinger slammed through the door. We were shocked to notice that a large scorpion like monster had slammed its tail through the door, barely reaching the tube. Monsterflies could be heard buzzing around outside as well. "This isn't looking good." Ray said as he slashed the beast. It let out a screach of pain and retracted its tail.

We slammed the door shut, hoping to keep the monsters out. "We're trapped, theres nowhere else to go." I said with fear in my voice. I noticed Rune was keeping his cool, messing around with the controls in front of the large tube. "What are you doing Rune?" Ray asked. He continued pressing a series of buttons, while the monsters continued to break in. "This things a cyborg right? Then maybe it was built for battle." Rune said as he continued.

The beating was getting louder and louder, there wasn't enough room to fight in here and if they managed to break in we would be done for. "If we could get out there and into one of the large hallways we might have a fighting chance." I said. I was ready for anything, Ray nodded his head knowing that our only chance would be to get out there. "WHOA!" Ray and I yelled as the door collapsed, the monsters waiting for us on the outside. I drew my slashers, ready for battle. It seemed the scorpion had retreated due to its wound, that might of been our only chance.

"Got it!" Rune said as smoke filled the room. We began gasping for air, I could not see Ray or Rune in midst of the smoke. The monsters outside could still be heard, but the noise was quieter than before. Had they retreated? Or was this some sort of trap. "Whats that?" I asked myself, noticing a pair of red lights in the midst of the smoke. The smoke began to die down, I could finally see Ray and Rune again, but another person in the room as well. It was the woman from the tube, she was standing there, but it seemed she was afraid.

"Who are you people? Wheres my dad at?"
