Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

Maia is everything to me, then I'll take her out of the ballot because it would be unfair.

Then the title goes to Nei. She was the first character that made me want to play a game because of her, and the first whose death made me want to stop playing the game. It took me some time to digest her death and build strength to carry on.

i love them all, but if I had to pick just one it would be Nei.

Need to pick only one ? There is two characters ex-aequo ! Myau (sure you have found it !) and Alisa ! These "Couple" is the best for me, as is Phantasy Star I the best in all the serie

I've always loved Alys. She was my first true love and I was devastated when she died (I am still in shock!). She is strong, beautiful, determined, brave, noble... just how I desire to become one day.

However, both Nei and Rika come VERY close to her. Nei because her tragedy is much stronger and she's a very cool character, and Rika because I love Neko-Girls. Her personality is also just heaven. I like it better than Alys's.

But you're right because they are great ! But for me quasi all the characters in the serie are my favorite, as I love them all in different ways

I know... It's kinda embarrassing , but I also like Chaz and Rune. I just tend to like strong female characters better because they're quite rare to find in modern stories.

And I didn't wanna write a post that was so long, it could be considered a book!

The character of Phantasy star IV are so great. In my opinion, I think PSIV have the greatest Background story of all time!!! (in my Opinion!). That make the character even stronger in their own backgrounds. For example, we just take another character from another game invented today. 95% of them have not a great background and a story like : ''ok, you're the hero, go save the world, you are the only one!'

But all that not happen in the Phantasy Star series. They can make some character that have such a great backgrounds story that you have no choice to love them!! Even the evil one!

For answering the question ( I think i have already done that here, but i'll do it again), My favorite was Lutz and Rune, but like myau56 said, I love them all ^^.

THE REVIVER : No problem about the girl characters ! You're right, strong one are pretty rare in ancient video games.

You know, a very long post is a mark of the love (and your love) for this serie and that is always a great thing to read !

I don't remember if I ever posted in this thread before, and I'm too lazy to look, but the answer never changes: Alis Landale. I'll echo what previous posters have said about the series having strong female characters (which, alas, is a rarity). I'm glad six-year-old me didn't know that PS was sort of in the minority in that its lead was 1) female, 2) fully-clothed, and 3) not relegated to a "support" or "healer" or "damsel in distress" role. It certainly didn't stop me from running around with my neighbors, waving my "sword" (tree branch) in the air.

I've posted in this topic before... My previous answer was RAja because of his jokes, but I think he actually comes in second to Hahn, the nerdy scholar who ended up with a hottie. Yes, I'm talking about his fiancee Saya. I also really like his character design and his attitude overall.
