X-Men 1, 2, & Wolverine

Remembering the games of yesteryear.

X-Men 1, 2, & Wolverine

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Fri Mar 30, '07, 9:14 pm

Here's another group of games that I'm not really sure exactly how many are in the series. Yes, I know that the Wolverine game is probably a seperate game from the other X-Men games, but since Wolverine is one of the X-Men group, I just thought I would list them all under one topic. I don't believe I have played much of X-Men 1, and X-Men 2, but I do remember playing Wolverine and it was a lot of fun. I don't recall how far I got in the game, though. I'm going to have to play all these games again just to refresh my memory.

Anyone else play or like these various X-Men games?

Let's see, I own Wolverine for NES, and X-men for Genesis. I like both of them, though Wolverine is a bit more fun. I played X-men 2 via Sega Channel and it was fun, but I didn't beat it, and then there was the arcade game that I don't remember too well.

Aside from those, I didn't really get a chance to play the others. To my knowledge, there's the X-men NES game, and X-men Legends though I feel like I'm missing two or three other titles.

I think there were some X-Men games on Super Nintendo, and PlayStation 1. The PlayStation games were fighters like Street Fighter, I believe. Lots of games based on the movies came out in the past few years, too, but I didn't play them.

I have X-Men 2 for Genesis, I never beat it either. It's fun, but hard after a certain point. I always wanted to play the first one for Genesis, but I never got it back in the day. I should look it up on eBay later. :hyper:

I have NES Wolverine and the X-Men Legends games. NES Wolverine was fun, but it sure was hard sometimes. I once found a hidden warp in one of the levels, but I was never able to access it again.

The X-Men Legends games are very good. They're kind of a throwback to the old side scrolling fighting games. For lots of fun, you can play them with a friend. The first one has too many single player areas IMO, but the second one is better in that respect. The first had better graphical effects, though.

I always liked the multi-player Arcade game. I was always hoping that it would get a console release.

That was really fun to play in the arcades back in the day. It was really something to walk into the room and see that massive six player cabinet sitting there. It was one of the few arcade games I finished completely.

There finally was a release of it a year or two ago on Xbox Live. It's a shame it took so long, but I'm glad it's out there now.

It was great to have several friends along to play it with. Good times!
