Please check out my PS II cover song!

I covered Violation, the dungeon music from Dezo in PS II, and probably my favorite in the game. I also drew some art for the video, with Nei and Neifirst. Please check it out, and tell me what you think.

I also finally finished working on Excite Town. I threw in a grumpy Dezorian because they are simply too awesome. For reference I actually used the shopkeeper image from right here at Fringes of Algo, so thanks very much for that.

And here's the shrine theme from PS III. I couldn't actually find a more official title. Not much to it, but I love the original, although I couldn't really capture the feeling from the game. I also drew Miun for the art.

So I got a little out of sync here, since I was originally going to do Silent Zone next and do three PS II Dezo songs in a row. I probably won't do any more art for the Silent Zone one, I'll just stick the Dezorian on there or something, since it's the same game and region, but now I'm trying to come up with something fun for the one after that. If it's from the first game I might have to do a cast shot with the whole party. Or just Lassic. He's awesome enough by himself.

Nice, it's very faithful to the original theme. Also the art work you did looks similar to the style * Amano does for Final Fantasy.

Thank you very much. I do try to stay very close to the original, and this is actually the first one for which I even changed the dynamics, and added the little variation on the theme at the end.

This is also definitely the first time my art's ever been compared in any way to * Amano's, so thanks for that. He's always been a favorite of mine.

We don't see this piece remixed often. What software did you use?

Reverbs were really abused in there, I like that :P

Thank you. Yeah, part of the reason I chose this one was because I don't ever see it covered, and I really love the song. I used a Fostex MR-8 to record it, and this is the first one I've used acoustic instruments on (in this case the dumbek part), so I had to break out the microphones. That was a bit of a nightmare, because apparently those darn drums are infamously hard to mike.

I also resorted to an old Digitech pedal for the effects, so that accounts for the crazy distortion on some of the parts.

I love your remixes, by the way, so it's good to hear from you. I saw your bulletin on Youtube, and I'm looking forward to the next few songs.

Very nice work on both the music and the drawing, Bragatyr. And also: welcome to the community! :D

I particularly like the reflection of the sisters' opposing nature as you show it on the tree. That's very classy and an unusual technique for Phantasy Star fan art. I'm not very qualified to comment on the technical aspects of music, but I like what you've done with the theme. This is a remix I'd love to hear in a modern remake of the game.

Seriously, yes indeed. All this needs is a little mastering and it would sound awesome.

And: right back at ya Bragatyr, remixers need to stick together :D

Thank you both very much. I'm really glad you liked the concept behind the art, Thoul. I haven't been drawing much in years, and for the last couple of videos I relied on old art or just drummed up a quick sketch, but with this one I actually sat down and wracked my brain to come up with something appropriate. I just think Nei and Neifirst are such interesting characters, and probably underrecognized in the gaming world at large.

And thanks again for the welcome! I love the site, and I'm really glad to be a part of the community.

Thank you very much! I should hopefully have Silent Zone at some point, and I'm thinking I'm going to do something from the first game, too. I always loved the main dungeon theme. Although the final dungeon is great, too. And Lassic's theme...and the Motavia overworld...and...!
