Poem XX: Comics

Comics are fun, comics are thrilling,
most of the stories are quite filling.
The heroes are strong and never give up,
And are sure not to spoil their supper.
They come from places you can only imagine about.
They can fly and leap and pick up mountains.
But however you look at it comic heroes are enjoyment for all,
Whether he or she is short or tall.

Comics give lessons on science to all,
And info on things that fly and crawl.
You can learn valuable tips on the stars in the sky,
And about pollution, who does it and why.
You can gain important facts about people on love, trust and friendship.
They teach about racism of different kinds,
And know how it can be stopped if people made up their minds.

Comics are a part of modern literature of today,
They really have a lot to say.
They enrich the vocabulary of younger people,
While teaching morals which have meaning to common people.
They ignite the spark of creativity in all,
which will surely help them scale their walls.
But one thing it gives which is priceless to most,
Is dreams and hope to everyone coast to coast.
