This world is filled with gloom
with people always preaching doom.
Everyone says life is unfair
with a lot of bad news to spare.
There seems to be bad weather all the time.
When you sit down and think it through,
there are a lot of uplifting things to do.
You can go to church and enjoy a prayer,
or read a book in your easy chair.
You can visit a friend you have know for a while,
or go see a good movie if that's your style.
But after all as you can see,
these changed can be done for free.
So hold your head up and look to better days,
Because nobody needs to feel down on in anyway.
