In a recent interview, EA claims that it has had "early access" to PSP2. According to rumors, it will have a larger screen, a touchpad, and graphics comparable to Xbox 360, and it will be released in late 2011.

If the rumors are true, then I think the PSP2 will be EPIC, and it'll provide the 3DS with a lot of competition. Anyway, what do you think of this?
Also, it seems that a Playstation Phone is in the works...

It's sure to be the 3DS' biggest competitor, especially if the graphics are that good. It will ultimately be a factor of the games on each system. The PSP has enjoyed great support in that area, arguably better than Nintendo's recent handheld offerings. If the PSP2 can rival the 3DS in that area, it will definitely be an epic chapter in the system wars. Sony will have to work hard, though - Nintendo has a lot of big name titles lined up for 3DS already.

If it really is download-only then I'm not all that excited about it. The PSP Go hasn't exactly been a huge success for Sony so I can't understand why they'd want to continue down that path.
