Museum Day

Celebrating all those special times in each year.

Museum Day

Postby Thoul » Thu Sep 24, '09, 11:46 pm

Saturday (Sept 24) is Museum Day, during which many museums across the US are offering free admission. It would be a great way to spend the day learning and touring a local museum, if any in your area are participating. You can learn more and print a free admission card from the website.

Unfortunately there are no museums honoring the day in my area. Hopefully the rest of you will have better luck on that front. ;)

With Pitt ID, I already get into all the museums around Pittsburgh for free anyway. :D
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

Wow you guys have a museum day over there. That’s pretty unique. Luckily however the museum in the town I live in allows free admission to any body that lives in North Queensland. As each Australian is allowed the right to learn about their countries history for free. The same thing applies in museums elsewhere. As such I would have to pay to visit a museum in Brisbane for example.

Thanks Thoul about the free Museum day tip. Sadly, I only saw your post after the free day was over. Let us know if they ever have anything like that again.

I like museums, history, stuff like that.

I envy the rest of you that get to attend these places free, for whatever reason. It seems like everything or every place here in the US charges for admission, and sometimes those prices are not cheap either. :grumpy:

Bumping this topic up for the year 2010. I just found out that today (this weekend) is Museum Day for this year.

You might want to check your local sites to see if they are participating in this event or not.

My Museum, The Royal Museum of Saskatchewan, is always free (Except the gift shop). =3
