There is also a "Super Harvest Moon" event tonight. This is the first time this event has happened in 20 years and it won't occur again for another 20. You can see both the sun and moon in the sky at sunset. The moon is also supposed to appear extra large.

Well, I'm a little late with this as the first day of Fall was several days ago, however, here's a little something I found online regarding the Fall (Autumn) Equinox, that I thought was very interesting:

http://whoknew.news.yahoo.com/who-knew/ ... 89130.html

Watching this, and realizing that winter is fast approaching in the USA, really makes me want to go visit H-Man, tilineson2, and all you others that live in Brazil, where it is supposedly warmer according to this video. What do you say guys (and gals), is it getting warmer there now?

It certainly has turned cold very quickly here. I've even caught a cold from the rapid change. :( I miss the warm summer nights and morning already.

Today is Sept. 22 and it is the first day of the Fall / Autumn season here in the USA:

http://www.calendar-updates.com/info/ho ... utumn.aspx

We can already feel the changes in weather with cooler nights and cooler day temps, although it is still rather warm in the daytime now but it is a comfortable warm instead of an excruciating HOT. Looking forward to the fall season and all the beauty it brings with changing leaves colors and cooler temps. Not so much looking forward to winter ahead though but it is always fun to have the holidays, etc.

Happy Fall everyone!! Enjoy!! :jack:

It's been down right cold here the past couple of days, especially early in the morning. It's a drastic change from the hot days of a week or two ago.

Fall season, or Autumn if you prefer, arrives tonight in the USA!! It is already getting a bit cooler, especially at night. Always sad to see Summer end but Fall has joys of it's own. Leaves will soon turn colors and "fall". Enjoy everyone!!
