The transition between Phantasy Star II and Phantasy Star III in Phantasy Star Collection is made on pages 15 and 16 with the pieces shown here. The very detailed "Welcome to the PSII Shop Gals World" art by Yasushi Yamaguchi, under the pen name Judy Totoya, is bright and colorful in a style that has become typical of anime and games from Japan. In contrast, the box art for Phantasy Star III's Japanese release is somewhat more down to earth, with more realistic proportions and muted colors.
