Phantasy Star: Deluxe Edition: Approaching Aero-Castle

Postby Thoul » Fri May 14, '10, 3:03 am

After Myau assumes his winged form thanks to the laerma nut, he carries his companions to Lashiec's fortress. If you look closely, you can see three dark specks on Myau's back. That would be Alis, Odin, and Noah/Lutz. Each one seems to be about the size of Myau's head, implying that he grew to truly massive proportions.

Normally we know the flying castle by the name "Air Castle," but Phantasy Star: Deluxe Edition references it internally as "aerocastle." Since "aero" more traditionally appears in the name of the item required to reveal the hidden castle, the Aero-prism, perhaps "Aero-Castle" is a more correct name.

Yeah, that's the one major drawback to this game. It's made for a really low resolution screen, so all the cutscene images are this super small size. There's some really great art in the game that I'd love to see in a larger size.

I hate when they do a Remake, they change the name of some place or some item. Air Castle name was correct, Why they change it ??? :fiery:

Bumping up this former Image Of The Day!
