Create Your Own 5 Character PS Classic Party

Postby The $ Avenger » Wed Sep 19, '07, 12:08 am

If you could have any five characters from the Classic PS series in your party at one time, who would you have, and why? The only restriction is to player-characters.

Hm, who to pick, who to pick.

1) Rune, for his excellent tech and skill set.
2) Alis, a good fighter with a nice balance of magic attack, healing, and physical ability.
3) Myau, for the novelty of being a cat in a group of warriors.
4) Sari, for a powerhouse that doesn't rely on guns, swords, or axes.
5) Raja, to wrap it up with a good healer that can go on the offensive in a pinch.

I started to go with an all android party, but as I recall there aren't enough of them to fill out five slots. :(

Very nice. That one would pretty much annihilate everything!

Mine is:

1. Rolf, love the Techs and the Power; I'll post my statistical analysis of him once I've finished my hack. No one in PSII comes close!
2. Rika, a developed Nei, and the only character with substantial heal Techs in my chosen party.
3. Wren PSIV, I've got to have a gun user for the enormous regular damage, and he beats out Rudo since his guns do more damage as he levels!
4. Alis, like Rolf, but her balance between offense and defense is too great for me to overlook.
5. Sari, I'd like to see what she could do an entire game!

How'd Rune not end up in there?? I guess Rolf and Alis can compensate for some of the Tech mastery.

Hmm... So many characters to choose from! :D

1. Anna - For her slashers and strength.
2. Thea - Her techs are useful and she's good with slicers.
3. Kara (the nice version) - Same reason as Thea, though Kara's a source of support for the most part.
4. Alys - Same reasoning as Anna...though unlike Anna, Alys has more powerful techs.
5. Kyra - She has a nice balance of healing and offensive techniques.

Yeah...I went for the slasher party! However, my only regret is not being able to squeeze in the mean version of Kara. :(

What a unique group! That'd be pretty funny to play a game with! I weep for that party if they run into some PSII robots... the defense, ugh!

Yeah...the only downside to that party (that I can think of) would be both poor attack and defense, as slashers aren't the strongest of weapons. However, they're still very useful. :)

I don't know if offense would be that much of a problem for an all slasher group. Slashers may not do as much damage per enemy, but they do spread out about the same amount across a group. Three or four slasher users could cut down a group pretty quickly.

Bosses would be tough, though.

That's true. They'd cut up areas that had monster groups of the same critters. Maybe I should put the option into my fan game to create a crazy party like this. It could be fun!

Bosses would be tough, though.
Yeah, that'd be by far the worst. It gives me a shudder to think of that party vs. my super PD from my PSIV hacks.

Speaking of which, Thoul, would you mind if I set up some topics on my PS hacks? I don't know that they'd get much attention, but it'd be nice to hear what some people think of them. They don't seem to fit entirely with this Classic Forum though, because they're not official Sega titles, and gameplay discussion between the originals and the hacks would be different. Perhaps a different subheading for them?

I don't mind at all, feel free. I made a Fan Games forum for and moved a couple of related topics there.

Awesome! I got tired of bumping the topics on them at gamefaqs, and of course, all that valuable information got deleted. I swear they're getting worse about that. Anyway, it'll be nice to at least have a lasting database of things. I've been wondering what some of you thought about the bosses in PSIV and PSI as a whole, as I didn't get much feedback on that one. (Runs to new forum!)
