I'll give you the main page and you can see all his nifty stuff. You can even check out his PS g1 and g2 galleries and everything.

Mmm.. aren't you glad you know a older fan? XD I miss the newsgroup days back in the early 90s.

@Rick: The PSGen2 galleries were what I checked in regards to the Glass Coat/Fiberglass Coat translation issue. Didn't know the site's been around for ten years though!
Read my social stuff!
The ramblings of an oldish geezer on Facebook.
@SnorbESnorb on Twitter. The "E" stands for "Everything."

Play my games!
The ArrrPG - A game I made about being a pirate. This be a first draft, matey! Though it plays just fine, clap yer eyes on th' eventual Revised an' Expanded Edition and you'll be pleased, by thunder!

Nakama: A Card Game of Magical Girls - A completely un-playtested card game about being a magical girl.

Well, excuse me while I defy all laws of logic and common sense and do it anyway.

Originally, I thought someone had just abbreviated and misspelled emblem.

See, I thought something similar, too. I thought it was a poor translation of something with the word "arm" or "armor" in it. I probably should have phrased my opening question better. I don't really need to know what an emel looks like; I'm more interested in what the word means. Where'd they come up with it? What significance does it have in Japanese?

I've only seen the word used in association with Phantasy Star and Ys: Ark of Napishtim. Ys uses "emel" as the name of a kind of gem. To the best of my knowledge, there is no real historical form of armor called an emel. Maybe it's meant to be a shorter form of something, like laco being short for laconia.

GO HERE, go to ITEMS at the TOP and BODY PROTECTION.

The emels are the same as a PSO arm shield.

You can also see the weapons, armor, items, etc.

What would you all do without me...

Once again, Rick pwns... ^_^
