Where to live?

Discuss the saga of Algo, where the legend began.

Where to live?

Postby Thoul » Sat Jul 18, '09, 3:31 pm

There are a lot of varied locations that we see in the Phantasy Star series. Domed cities, space ships, medieval castles, desert markets, snowy cathedrals, crystal towers... almost any kind of environment you can imagine is found somewhere in Algo. If you had to pick one location from the games to call home, where would you choose to live? What time would you want to live there (perhaps before, during, or after a certain game event)?

I'd live in Piata, maybe right after the Profound Darkness is defeated. I would think all the technological discoveries they'd start making through Hahn would be nothing short of exciting.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

I'd like to live in Paseo but only if it had either A: Survived the test of time throughout the planets change, or B: If it was rebuilt years after the Profound Darkness had already been defeated.

I believe Paseo would most likely be much like Aiedo, you know a bustling city full of life, excitement, and many Hunters to protect it.. Only Rangers instead of Hunters.

Somewhere on Palma long before the events of Phantasy Star II take place. I like Palma the best of the planets--while Motavia is okay, I would still take te greenery of Palma over it.

I'll go with the coastal city of Scion from the original Phantasy Star. It was a futuristic domed city with an awesome ocean view. Property prices had to be pretty brutal there though.

Outside of "canon" I think it would also be interesting to live in Shusoran or Cille after the ending of Phantasy Star III. They're both abandoned in the 2nd generation and remain so through the ending. Once Dark Force is defeated and the wars are completely over I imagine someone would try to rebuild them.

PSI: Camineet looks like home.

PSII: Esper Mansion

PSIII: Laya's underground seemed like a nice private place, or any abandoned castle.

PSIV: Uzo, or Esper Mansion.

I think I'd live on the outskirts of Piata on Motivia. Not to far from the city but still in the desert. Hehehe  I'd so have a pet sandworm or Locusta maybe both.

I'd live in a castle on Palma before the events of Phantasy Star II. Either that or I'd live somewhere near the ocean and be "That "crazy" hermit everyone is talking about".
