PSII Text Adventure Translations

Postby Thoul » Fri Jul 27, '07, 3:45 am

Thanks to the great team at M.I.J.E.T., more Phantasy Star fans can now enjoy two additional games that have been previously available only in Japanese! They have recently translated the PSII Text Adventure games for Shir and Kain. These translation patches can be downloaded from our Patches section now.

Their team is also working on translation patches for two more of the Text Adventures, so be sure to keep an eye out for that in the future.

Great idea on hosting these! I was thrilled when I first saw them! I hope they do the other two that are on pscave, and the remaining four off another one of those Japanese Sega CD disks. I want them all!

I've got a full-game program version of the Nei one that was translated by Naflign's Ego, which was difficult to get. I'll go ahead and email it to you. :)

Yeah, I was really happy to see that these have been translated at last, too. Even more so when they allowed me to host them here - I hope a lot of "Phans" get a chance to experience these games now.

I know M.I.J.E.T. is planning to do at least two more of the Text Adventures, which they've already told me I could host when those translations are done. I'm not sure which ones they are, though. If they could do all of them, that would really be great. :hyper: I don't think the other four have been dumped, though.

Thanks, I've put it on the site now too. It seems to be a partial game, from the readme in it. Even so, it's really interesting to play! It's such a pity that Naflign's site is no longer around. He had some really great stuff on there.

It's good to know that they're at least looking to do two more. I've never dumped a Sega CD game before, but I bet I could figure it out.. I wonder if they'd be interested in doing them all.

Ah! I haven't gone beyond the first screen on two to see just how far it goes. That pretty much covers the extent of my PS series stuff.
