Wii Shortages Continue

Postby Thoul » Thu Dec 18, '08, 5:19 am

You might remember that for the last two years, the Wii was really hard to find in December. Well, that is holding true for this year, too. Even though Nintendo boosted the number of systems for sale by 50%, Wii is still selling out everywhere.

I heard it was the most popular toy item, or just item, for this year of 2008. I can believe it too. It has a pretty heft price on it still, but it is a lot cheaper than some other systems.

They still had some at a neighborhood "ToysRus" store when we visited there before Christmas as I saw one of the workers there carrying one up to the cash register, I think is where he was going with it. I thought, "some lucky dude or dude-ess is getting a wii for Christmas - whoa!!!!! :)

Wow... but then again it isn't too hard to believe. I mean, when I had the chance I bought one because I had already planned on obtaining one along with Super Mario Galaxy. I am gald I did, though lately, I' too busy with my PS3. >.>

I've heard a lot of stories about stories getting them in stock and all being gone within two hours. It seems like it wasn't too hard to find a store that was getting them in, but they jsut didn't stay on the shelves very long.
