This cutscene from the first Holt encounter looks very similar to another shown when Chaz and Alys meet the principal earlier in the game. At first glance, you might think it is identical. That is not the case, though - there are some differences. Quality control on the artwork must have been really bad if they can't even reuse the same image without changing some of the colors around.

For what many of the other images of Alys I've seen on these pirate versions, this one is definintaly one of the better one. But it still has a certain scariness to it.

I like to think she's wearing sunglasses, it makes less disturbing.

It kinda looks like she has big eyebrows.

Alys: They call me Manbrows! They are slightly above my sunglasses!

Riight Alys, next your going to tell me that those aren't real lips!

Alys: They aren't... They are a line!

Lol didn't even know there was a pirate version of PSIV. How does it stack up to the release here?

Not well at all. ;) It was made for the NES, so it's really limited. You can read a bit about it here on the site:

Lol well that explains the "quality" of the work. Although it would've been interesting if the later PS games came out on 8bit instead of 16bit. Of course I think they stand out because they were on a powerful system but it would've been nice to compare them more closely with Dragon Warrior.
