Best Santa Claus Actor?

Postby Thoul » Sat Dec 6, '08, 4:31 pm

Santa Claus has been in a lot of movies over the years. The character is just a fixture of American, if not worldwide, culture. Which actor gave the best portrayal of the character in your opinion?

My pick is Edmund Gwenn, the actor from the original Miracle on 34th Street movie.

Yeah, he was pretty good. I really don't know who my favorite Santa was/is. I like the Santa that is seen in "The Polar Express" movie they show on Tv. He only has a few minutes of time in there, though. I have no idea who plays the role. I haven't seen that so far this year and they usually play it all the time.

That would be Tom Hanks. He plays every single major male character in that movie. The little boy, the guys on the train, and even Santa. It's been on a lot on ABC and ABC Family. I know I've seen it in the listings at least four times.
