Dark Force... when does it really appear?

Postby Thoul » Wed Nov 19, '08, 3:20 pm

In each of the games, by the time we find Dark Force and stomp it, the evil plans are already well under way. Zio, for instance, did a lot of damage and destroyed several towns in Dark Force's name before being stopped. How long do you think each Dark Force was out in the wild before anyone became aware of it?

I think that at least in PSIV, it was out there before the game really began. After all, right when you talk to the Principal, you learn of Zio already doing some bad things and monsters are already running wild. Since the environment is also deteriorating, I always assumed that communication was already cut off between Demi and Wren, she had been captured a while ago, and Dark Force had been occupying Kuran for quite some time. Precisely how long...dunno. :hmm:
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

I'm pretty sure they mention that Zelan had been blocked off for about six months prior to the events of the game. I want to say that the "half a year" figure had been used for at least one or two other points in the story (maybe the Dezolis blizzard?), but I can't recall for certain.

I think DF usually appears some time before the events of the game. The game only tells how did protectors won the battle. The only time that DF got late was in PSI...

(I think it is impossible for DF to have appeared in AW284)

Heh poor Dark Force / Falz in PSI. I can see it now in when they were making the game.

Producer: Great job everyone, you did terrific today. Alis, you're going to be a star.

Alis: Thank you ^_^

Director: And what about Falz, he never showed up today.

Falz: *runs in out of breath* I'm *pant* Sorry I'm late.. Traffic.

Producer: This is the tenth time this week Falz.. Enough is enough. I've made a script change and got the perfect place for you.

Falz: *Gulp*

*Countless hours pass and Alis and company arrive at a strange door*

Falz: BWAHAHAHA *Thinking: Man this sucks, I'm just here for the hell of it. The whole nightmare battle was suppose to be mine, not that fool down in accounting*

I think Raja did say something like that about the blizzard, though I don't recall how long he said it had been going.

Yeah, I have to agree there. If he had, that would have meant he'd been on the loose for 58 years. Considering how little he accomplished, that's just not possible.
