Who do you think is the best actor to play the role of The Joker in any of The Batman movies? And, why do you think they were the best?

At this point, I'll say Nicholson, but I haven't seen Ledger yet of course, so I might think differently after this weekend. Mark Hamill was great in the animated movies, too.

ledger was awesome. i think it's a toss-up, but i'm debating between either of them.

Ledger was amazing. His Joker is really an entirely different way of presenting the character than anyone has used before in film. I agree, it's a toss up between them. In some ways it's like apples and oranges, because the portrayals are so different.

Well, I haven't seen Ledger's performance yet, so I really can't say without having seen it, I suppose. However, I'll give it a shot. :wink:

I don't think I will like Ledger's performance of The Joker all that much, because it sounds too dark to me, but I may change my mind once I have seen it.

I love Nichelson - he's a riot, and he made The Joker famous again.

However, on this one, I'm going with the original - Ceasear Romero (TV's Joker on Batman show). He was one class act - and extremely hard to replace, immitate, in my opinion.
