That slipped my mind as well. I hated how they'd go off to attack the strongest enemy when something was almost dead. >_>

I'd love that change, too. It always bugs me when I could have ended a battle, if only two of the characters had switched enemies! :bang:

Phantasy Star I: An improved localization that's consistent with the rest of the series.
Phantasy Star II: Better character balance. (I would also say more dialogue and interaction between characters other then Rolf and Nei but that would be hard to pull off.)
Phantasy Star III: It's going to more then one change to fix the game.
Phantasy Star IV: Actual difficulty besides the fights with Zio, Lashiec, and the Xe-A-Thouls.
Phantasy Star Online: No EXP loss when dying.
Phantasy Star Universe: The ability to control other characters besides Ethan in Story Mode.

Maybe they could have done something like that (more dialogue and interaction, I mean) if they had written some of the Text Adventures stories into the game. Putting those in with the main game could have given everyone a little miniquest.

Maybe not more dialogue, but at least more clear dialogue, sometimes you have to think hard to figure out who's talking...make it more obvious who's talking for instance "Rolf: ...".

Also not capitalizing ROLF's name would help, I always felt everyone was screaming at me.
"Rolf, there's no hope for me. If Neifirst is dead, I must die, too."
And in so saying, Nei silently closed her eyes.

Well, the main problem is taking all the party selections into account. There's not a whole lot of memory to work with on a 6-meg cartridge.

I remember one of my past complaints about PSII. I've always been disappointed that you stopped getting new characters at Piata. It would have been great to get three more characters for visiting all the Dezoris towns too! The Dezorians never got enough face time! Perhaps even a fourth, an Esper, from Esper Mansion.

It would be a pain to level up any new characters from level 1 at that point.

I agree with that, or those characters would have to be stronger at level 1, else the Dezoris monsters and robots will hack them to pieces. Plus it would make for an even tougher choice of whom to take with you. I think the amount of characters is right.

Actually. I've taken level 1 characters to Dezoris and it was really easy to level them up. :D
