I'm a bit late in downloading it, but I wanted to wait until I had my shiny new broadband connection up and running. It was a pretty good show. They went a bit overboard with the language at times and showed a lack of research on the side games (at least they knew of them, that's something!), but it was a nice commentary.
I thought it was interesting that they assumed everyone died at the end of PSII. I know it's an oft discussed topic but they breezed right over it. Prior to that they talked about the Tiem storyline which seems to be what they based the ending on - taking it as an overall dark theme for the game.
Yeah, they really seemed to view the whole game as having that really dark theme from Tiem's story. There were themes of hope in the game as well, but those didn't get mentioned.
I found it funny that they said PSO wasn't as bad about wiping data on dial-up as it was on broadband. It's probably true, but just ironic. When I tried to play on dial-up, I could rarely stay connected for long periods, much less long enough to get up to level 100 or whatever. I never did lose my data, though.
