PSII - Did they make it?

Discover the secret of Mother Brain's technological advanced world.

Thanks for the clarification, it has been a while since I played and the exact words over the Governor had escaped me. So let's assume he indeed means there wasn't any other spaceship. I can imagine there were wrecks or derelicts, they wouldn't classify as ships as anymore. I can't believe that the ships that collided over Dezoris were the very last ships, that somehow seems strange as space travel back then was still practiced and what self respecting space faring nation would keep only three ships? So it's quite possible the rest was shipped off as junk to Roron.

I can imagine that the knowledge of space ships, space faring etc was not completely lost, surely the library in Paseo had some documents. They couldn't have reactivated old derelicts, possibly with Motavian help, to create smaller shuttles to ferry between Motavia and Zelan/Kuran.

What I wonder, why did the Palmans have such a large fleet of World Ships at the ready? Did they expect Palma to get destroyed and foresaw the need for evacuation? Surely they couldn't have built 400 ships and evacuated their people after noticing Gaira on a collision course. In fact, starting the evacuation alone once they noted Gaira should have been an impossible task in my eyes. Perhaps this should go into a new topic, I feel it's worth exploring.

And in so saying, Nei silently closed her eyes.

I think if there were a planet with spaceships was Palma. It was the Planet who discovered spaceship traveling, was the only planet (the starting point) that colonizes others (like Motavia, Dezo, Copto, and maybe some others) and was the planet that had more power at that time.

So with orders from Mother Brain to stop space traveling I would set (if not dismantled) all the ships on their starting point (to where they came from - Palma). In some topic someone said that mother brain wanted/represented the centralization of power - so I will apply that to “centralization of information”, reunite all spaceships at the same place, in Parma... (the only way “guards”/humans could control if MB orders were being executed*) --- but how would pilots return to motavia after leaving spaceships in Parma? Hmm… that may be the reason for Mota having that single ship at the rooftop.

and what self respecting space faring nation would keep only three ships
From whom did they wanted respect: Motavians or Dezorians? I think they were the unique nation available at that time, so they didn't have to worry about that.

I can't believe either... that accident (if it really was an accident) just marked the last time space traveling was allowed - inside the law. They said they were the last because starting from that moment no more ships should exist, according to MB's rules.

But even if what I said were true how could palmanians have escaped? More than 5.600 people had to be evacuated (at least a man and a woman for each "world" [(2x7)x400]... it's a lot of people, they couldn't possible had time to evacuate them if they weren't already prepared. As Fogeltje said that would be a nice topic. (I think there was a leak of information... Someone told them? Who?)

I meant to say that is find it highly unlikely that there were only three spaceships, that number is simply too small. You'd want to keep one on every planet alone for emergencies.

Nice thoughts about that single spaceship on Motavia btw. It would sound logical indeed, unless they had flown in all pilots from Palma in one ship, making sure there was one spare pilot to fly that ship back and let the rest take the others to Palma.

It's true... =( I didn't thought about that.

PS team simply didn't committed the mistake of giving us enough clues to determine if they were saved or not, and I’m glad that even after the 4th installment they continued to give us enough space to expand our imagination about that ending.
