Texas church shooting

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Tue Nov 7, '17, 11:43 pm

Another horrible shooting in the USA, and this time at another Church. Seems it was domestically related though, which doesn't change the outcome in that it was still a tragedy. Many people lost their lives, including the shooter. Condolences to all the families of the victims.

And, this has reignited the Gun debate, and I have even seen some posts blaming Republicans for it all. What?? The only person that was responsible for this was the shooter himself! As far as guns, there was another person there with a gun that heard the shooting and intervened and helped stop the shooter to some degree before he could do even more damage.

It was a little troubling to hear that the Air Force had not reported this guy and therefore he was able to buy a gun. Should have been reported.

The fail boat has a lot of ports to hit on this one. Looks like every single check and balance that could have been used to prevent this was not done. The anti-gun crowd were quick to jump on their usual bandwagon. But to make matters worse at least on twitter the anti-religion crowd said some of the most vile stuff I've seen in ages. I have a post about my thoughts on things over at Praying at the Bricks.
