As Kyra says her goodbyes, Chaz listens but Rune's mind is clearly somewhere else. What could he be thinking of at such a time? Perhaps he is considering Kyra's future with the other Espers. Or maybe, this is foreshadowing an upcoming scene.

His mind is clearly somewhere else, how he is cupping his chin with a gloved hand. Perhaps he is thinking about an impending disaster... but I can also see him worrying whether Kyra will blab to others his true identity...
I recall the scene at the Espermansion, when an esper asks about why Lutz wouldn't appear at such a troublesome time:
Kyra: Oh, he is here, isn't he?

He's distracted because I was standing off-screen. 
(It is possible I am on a lot of medication right now for a bad chest cold. Possible.)
