I never did get to play that game. Anyway, I'm glad to hear the script is finally almost finished. Maybe they'll be able to start filming within a couple of years. After so many false starts, my hopes for this movie aren't getting very high until there is something more concrete to see.

Found a short article regarding the "Ghostbusters 3" movie.

The article mentions that a script has been sent to actor Bill Murray.

Saw Thoul's post in the getting to know you thread and he said that it was a shame that they never got together to make a third movie. Well, since this topic is outdated, I quickly found this link to a story that I read a while back and thought I'd share.

However, Sigourney Weaver, who was a big part of Ghostbusters had this to say

well, its hard to say whether or not Ghostbusters will be making a sequel but recently Ghostbusters had made its way back onto the big screen for a limited screening. So it's hard to say what the future will hold. I just hope they go through with it and hopefully can get everyone back together for a third installment of the series.

Thanks for those updates, Atlin. I hadn't seen either of these. I hope the film does go forward, whether Bill Murray is involved or not. I'd like to see him in it, but the movie should go on whether he wants to get onboard or not. I'd hate to think the franchise is being held back just because he's not happy with it in some way.

Sad news. One of the original Ghostbusters has died. Actor Harold Ramis has passed away at the age of 69. He was involved in many other movies and tv shows. He will be missed. :tombstone: :rose:

I was very said to hear of his passing. He did a lot of nice work. I suppose it is also the final nail, so to speak, in the coffin of Ghostbusters 3. Even if there is ever a revival of the franchise, it can never be the same now that one of the creative minds behind it is gone.

The cast of the original "Ghostbusters" movie recently got together and are appearing on the cover of an "Entertainment Weekly" magazine:

They all look great! A little older perhaps but they still look fit enough to fight those ghosts!!

It seems that the upcoming all female "Ghostbusters" movie will not be the only "Ghostbuster" movie as plans are being made for another male "Ghostbuster" movie as well:

In the end, the fans may be the big winners of this by getting two new "Ghostbuster" movies after all these years and a long, long, wait.

Are you more excited to see the female "Ghostbusters" or the male "Ghostbusters" movie?

Well, I still haven't seen the latest "Ghostbusters" movie with the all girl cast, I believe it is. However, while turning the tv last weekend, I happened upon the original "Ghostbusters" and "Ghostbusters 2 " movies on the Movie Channel and watched them both. Great fun and I love the Ghosbusters song "Who You Going To Call....Ghostbusters! ".

A terrific movie to watch during this Halloween season. Great seeing Sigourney Weaver in these movies also.
