Shin Godzilla

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu Aug 17, '17, 2:31 am

Has anyone seen this movie "Shin Godzilla"? I saw the DVD was released earlier this week or month and I always love watching Godzilla movies. However, someone told me they thought this movie may not be in English. If so, then it would do me no good to buy it as I could not understand it. Does anyone know if it is spoken in English or just Japanese?
Thanks!

I watched it a while back. It is in Japanese, as all Godzilla movies natively are outside the 1998 and 2014 American made movies, but I would be surprised if the DVD/blu-ray doesn't have either an English dub and/or English subtitles to toggle in the options. That'd be a huge oversight, in fact, to not have that. I'm pretty sure limited the American theater run had subtitles as well, so again, the DVD/blu-ray should have them.

I'll probably pick this up myself sometime after the price drops a bit. I thought the movie was alright, but I have some mixed feelings about a lot of it. I certainly didn't dislike it or anything, but I also didn't love it either.

Thanks for your comments Wolf Bird. Really appreciate them.

I had not thought of the DVD having language options. That would be great.

I think I will try and see if I can find the movie somewhere and buy it.
