Anyone know of any good ones, like that Polybius game?

Hmm, never heard of this Polybius before. I really want to know how bad it was for a 1981 game to give people nightmares and sky-rocket stress levels. Very interesting. Can't say I know of any urban game legends myself though.

I've read a bit about Polybius in past; I think the stuff I read came to a conclusion that it never existed. I can't really think of any other urban legends involving games. There don't seem to be many even with a web search.

Yeah, all the Polybius thing sounds fishy. The closer to existing I can believe is that it was a commercial flop withdrawn quickly, or was scrapped. And then the legends were built over it...

I've never heard another significant urban legends, just those rumors about things that could not be done in games, like reviving dead characters or unlocking unexistent features.

I have heard of this one, and the article that talked about it even had a obscure photo of the machine. I will have to dig around some and see if I can find it, but this was a long time ago.

I do not know too much on urban legends concerning video games. Just mostly secrets that I am sure many know of anyways.

Found this article about a haunted copy of Majora's Mask; and it could be classed as an urban legend. Obviously it's fake but it's still a little creepy in a way!

Oh yeah, I remember reading something about that. Creepy little story, but definitely sounds made up.

Found one about the Lavender Town music in the original Japanese release of Pokemon Red and Green (NOT the US Red and Blue)

A lot of it sounds exaggerated, but the music is still kinda creepy and depressing.
