My boyfriend's little brother saw a grand opening ad on Craigslist a couple weeks ago for a new retro gaming store in Winthrop, which is a Boston neighborhood just north of the airport. So we went there yesterday. Tons of cool stuff...I got an HD cable for my Wii, a new Genesis controller, an A/V cable for my Genesis, a new SNES since mine was displaying funky colors, another Gamecube controller, some new Skylanders, and an AV switch. The store also had swag. Like pins...

The brown strap on the right is basically what functions as my wallet. I can put it around my shoulders and it's super-handy as there's a clear plastic covered sleeve that I can put my Boston T card in. So when I get on a bus or subway, I just press that against the card scanners as they can read through the plastic. Also, strap is a great place for some EarthBound pins!

Nice! I always like to find little pins like that. More games should have those made.

I don't know if Phantasy Star pins exist, but he didn't have any in his pin case. I did look for them after I basically cleaned him out of his EarthBound pins. :-p

I achieved the Platinum status on Club Nintendo this year so I'm getting some Mario themed playing cards by the end of the year (it takes forever to ship). Wow, Japan gets awesome stuff like the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack and the US gets playing cards. Yeah, sounds fair, doesn't it?
Anyway, I also have the Platinum prize from 2010, so I'll try to post that soon.
