Video game publishers are finding new ways to increase income and sales from video game related materials by using various special offers, promotions, etc.

This is not really surprising since the video game market is so popular right now, even in this trying economic situation. While in many cases, this may help increase the video game related sales, etc., it can also be a bonus for the video gamer also in finding some very good buys, etc.

I can't say I'm a fan of most of these gimmicks. If it's tangible merchandise, that's one thing. But a game download that can't be backed up or transferred to storage easily just doesn't sit well with me.

Well, that's understandable Thoul, but if they did that it'd be easier to pirate games. I know that if you do buy a game on PSN, you can always download it again later on your account. Me and Kaloes actually cheated Sony this way and saved each other a lot of money. =D

I forget who's idea it was anyway to do that. Hmm... >.>
