Video Game Hall Of Fame

The Video Game Hall Of Fame, at The Strong National Museum of Play, has announced their first inductees and they include the video games as follows:

Pac Man, Super Mario Brothers, Doom, Tetris, World Of Warcraft, and Pong!

Congratulations to all these games, and good luck for next year to all the nominees that did not make it this year. Nominations have already begun for next year.

I was very surprised that Legend Of Zelda did not make it in this year.

Anyone else surprised at any of the games that either made it, or did not make it, into the Video Game Hall Of Fame for this first year?

Very interesting to see what The Video Game Hall Of Fame, and the Toy Hall Of Fame are doing each year.

World of warcraft ? Very strange choice for me ...

I would have put Sonic and Zelda up there; they are universally acclaimed. Not even a Sonic fan really either.
Cant say I ever played Warcraft. But heard of it.

Not a WoW player, but I get why it's there. It has tons of subscribers and is still being played despite many MMOs trying to unseat it from its throne as the gold standard of that genre.
