Nintendo warns on 3D games

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu Dec 30, '10, 6:34 pm

Nintendo has issued a health warning concerning 3D games, etc., regarding eye issues for children:

I have to wonder though if these warnings will do any good. Children, and grownups for that matter, love to play video games and somehow I don't think this is going to stop them. The 3D games seem popular also.

It will all come down to how responsible parents are in regards to knowing that games their kids play. If parents take the time to read the safety warnings and enforce them, then things will go well. Some parents won't do that or some kids will ignore the warnings and use the 3D anyway. I'm sure there will be some children who find their eyesight damaged by 3D stuff - movies at least, if not games - in the long term.
