US Senate run-offs today in Georgia

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Tue Jan 5, '21, 8:21 pm

Two Senate seats in the US Congress are being voted on today in the US State of Georgia. Candidates are (incumbent) Republicans, Kelly Loffeler and David Perdue and their opponents, Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

Early voting has been going on for awhile now and today's votes should declare the winners.

The world (or atleast the US) is watching this vote closely as it may help decide who will have control of Congress (Republicans or Democrats) and the way future Congressional decisions may be made.

Voting is over, ballots have been counted, and congratulations are in order for two new Georgia Senators as both Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have won Senate Seats in the US Congress! They defeated their oponents Loffeler and Perdue.

This win by both Democratic candidates gives the Democrats control of the Senate and they also have control of the House, and the office of President/Vice-President.

Hopefully they will use this advantage wisely for the American People.
