Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

I should start off by mentioning that I've already pre-ordered PS0.

I'm not particularly concerned with the story (as long as it doesn't suck) but I remember someone saying that this game was tied to PSO (a prequel). Although I highly doubt it for various reasons, I'd like someone who is sure about this to confirm/deny it.

Anyone?

I’m not exactly sure if PS0 is related. But I have heard it is an entirely new game that just happens to share a lot of elements from the PSO series.

That's what I'm thinking as well...

But someone (and I won't say who...) seemed very adamant about the subject (and when doesn't he...?)

From what I've read there is a tie to PSO, but it isn't necessarily a prequel. This is just hearsay, but supposedly Zero reveals that "Earth" is Coral, the homeworld the Pioneer project was leaving.
