US, Cuba reopen embassies

A historic occasion will take place on Monday as the United States and Cuba begin diplomatic relations once again and will open their respective embassies after a 54 year break:

This is good news. Sometimes it seemed that a lot of problems were created by this attitude of being apart, instead of it helping keep the peace...

I basically second Ice's sentiment. Diplomatic relations are a good thing.

Agreed with the above two. International relations and politics are never easy to deal with from the start, but things have to start somewhere. Not everyone will get what they want, but it's good to bring some diplomacy back.
