There are many kinds of musical instruments in the world. Everyone knows common ones like the guitar or drums, but some are far less common. What are of the most unusual or odd looking musical instruments you have seen or heard played?

I saw a new one (to me, at least) this morning on the local news. It's called dulcimer. Some local chap is putting out a CD and this is his instrument.

I still must go with The Blue Man Group. Granted they create instruments that are somewhat recognizable, but they fasion them in a way that are very unique, yet still produce a quality sound.

I agree with Darkil, the Blue Man group is awesome! I haven't seen them much lately but I used to see them a lot when they were first being discovered.

As for musical instruments, one that I like is the autoharp.

I play the tamboura (Indian stringed instrument) and Tahitian Ukelele (stringed instrument), which can be considered unusual.

As for hearing, well, I hear music that includes every kind of instrument, so it is difficult to list them all.
