The article must have changed, because now it says all 33 have been rescued. I'm glad to hear it. Too often, these things have a tragic end. It's good to know that all of them made it out alive, even if some will be dealing with the stress of being trapped for a while.

I think if I was trapped underground for 69 days I’d go mad. But it is great that all of them are now back above ground. This has basically been the talk of the newspapers and TV for the last few days over here.

My brother's girlfriend was happy for this news, as she has family in Chile. I'm glad to see them freed too!

It seems one of the trapped miners was an Elvis Presley fan. Elvis Presley Enterprises sent him a bunch of Elvis stuff including CD's, DVD's, etc., and when he's recovered a bit from this horrible experience of being trapped, he has a free ticket to come visit Graceland, home and burial place of Elvis.

That's great! I hope it lifts his spirits a bit.

More news on the rescued Miner from Chile...he has been visiting the US and took part in the NYC Marathon, and plans to visit Graceland also.

It seems horrible to think of, but his time of running thru the mine while he was trapped probably helped him survive the whole ordeal.

I was listening to the radio one day and they played a conversation with him on the news. He sung a few bars of an Elvis song, and man...he was good!!!!
