Since Independence Day is the day after tomorrow, I thought I'd make a thread about the sci fi classic "Independence Day". Released in theaters on July 2nd, 1996, Independence Day was the highest grossing film of that year, and remains one of the most memorable movies of the 1990's. I have alot of fond memories of this movie from when I was younger. It was such a popular movie and it had an impact on pop culture too.

That's a great movie. Some parts are a little cheesy, but in a good way. It has a lot of charm. I always hoped they would make a sequel, but it is great as a standalone story too. I think I'll watch it tomorrow, if I can find my copy. It's been ages since I sat down and watched it straight through.
