Facebook being unreasonable

Postby MrKite » Wed May 30, '12, 7:59 pm

What they've been doing to me is not fair. They've blocked me from sending friend requests 3 times. The first time I was blocked for 7 days, the second time I was blocked for 14 days, and now is the third time where I'm blocked for 30 days!! All because I was quote "sending friend invites to people I didn't know". Last I checked one of the purposes for Facebook was to meet new people who share your common interests, so that pretty much defeats one of its purposes. And I don't even know how to personally email the Facebook staff and complain about this. I'm so ANGRY right now. This is not fair at all!

If you're having this much trouble with facebook, try twitter as an alternative. Twitter is also more open to roleplay accounts.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

Well, the first thing you want to do is give yourself a little time to calm down. Even if you did know where to write to Facebook, doing so while you're angry isn't going to help your case. To get anywhere with them, you'll need to approach them calmly.

My understanding of how Facebook's policies, particularly on the friends you don't know angle, is limited. But, I think it means that people you sent requests to either didn't accept the requests or marked them as being from someone they didn't know. It might be helpful in the future to send only requests to people you do know or to okay it with people off of Facebook before sending the request.

I am surprised to see Facebook doesn't have some kind of contact form for support issues that is easily accessible. I suppose that because it is such a major site, they'd be flooded with requests. There is probably one buried somewhere in the Help section, but I wasn't able to find it myself.

Totally stupiud ! As facebook is a social network, why banned people for that ? After, if someone doesn't want to keep contact, he can "blast you" or just before don't accept this friend request and that's all ! Very strange...Did you succeed in contacting them ?
